    New, strange clutch issue

SOLVED. Just to close the loop, this is how I "fixed" the issue. I eventually said, "to heck with it," and bought a new clutch disc set. Replaced all discs and checked to make sure nothing obvious inside the clutch was messed up. Buttoned it up, wrestled with the slave cylinder rod seating...

Thanks. That is a great pdf! Appreciate it.

    New, strange clutch issue

Boris - Does "UJ" = universal joint? Something happening when the clutch (or something else) heats up since everything works great before that happens.

    New, strange clutch issue

OldRider - Interesting idea on the master cylinder push rod. I'll check that out. RCinNC - I changed the oil with fresh, good quality synthetic. Should have done it at the end of my last real riding season. Was hoping for that to be the cure. Unfortunately, it didn't do the trick.

    New, strange clutch issue

Here's an update - though, unfortunately, not a solution. I changed the oil, greased the clutch shifter pivot, blead the clutch at least five times. I also removed the slave cylinder and push rod, checked those for gunk or something funking. Everything seemed fine so I cleaned them and...

    New, strange clutch issue

Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions! Rebled the clutch and changed the oil. Will grease the shifter pivot today. And then, yes, have to get back in the saddle for the bike's sake as well as mine.

    New, strange clutch issue

Due to moving and house renovations, I have hardly ridden my 2016 in over a year. I used to ride it all the time. Since I want to start riding again, I went out for a shakedown ride only to have the clutch unable to find neutral. When I turn off the bike, no problem. Came home, bled the clutch a...

    Sticky downshifting, smooth upshifting

I don't really have an answer. Just live with it. I've noticed I have to be aware of my timing with the blip. If I'm a little late my clutch isn't as smooth. I've bled the clutch fluid changed oil, synced carbs. Also installed G2 throttle tamer, which I've had on other bikes. Bottom line: I've...

    Scu error code 44

This just happened to me. Confusing as heck scrolling through the fault codes. Some with just top number, some with bottom and top, some that say "On", some say "Off". How the heck did you guess that "84" on top was the one you'd work with? I'll head out to my bike tomorrow and try this. I have...

Left lights on. Is battery fried?

They do, if you're referring to the SAE connect. I just bought it for $8. That way I don't have to remove that blasted side cover, which is harder since I also have the upper crash bars. I'm really pleased with that charger though. I bought one for twice that amount that I thought was "better"...

Left lights on. Is battery fried?

Bought a NOCO Genius 1 from Amazon for about $30. Worked, reviving the battery from the dead. Didn't have enough volts to use other chargers, but this little NOCO one did the trick.

Left lights on. Is battery fried?

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve gotten into the habit of using the kill switch. Must have spaced this time in a hurry or something. I probably should get a charger.

Left lights on. Is battery fried?

Have tender on battery for 5 or so if hours. Blinking red light as though it's not even hooked up and not charging anything. Is my battery probably fried. Kind of sucks that a single drain could ruin it, but maybe so.?.

My headlights keep burning out after only a couple thousand miles. What up with that?

Thanks for the responses. It's been obnoxious as heck. I never knew about a recall for the headlight wiring. I have a 2016, and maybe those are not on the recall list. I did get a recall letter about the brake switch, but not the headlight harness/wiring. The Cyclops replacement kit looks...

My headlights keep burning out after only a couple thousand miles. What up with that?

Can I get HID that's a simple direct replacement? Don't need anything else to make them work?

My headlights keep burning out after only a couple thousand miles. What up with that?

Have tried several different kinds. I think Sylvania was last one I tried, and got the best ones they had. I didn't know about a "flapper thing." I ride virtually the whole time with low beam. Maybe that's my problem.?.?. Is it possible to replace these easily with an LED replacement? I see...

My headlights keep burning out after only a couple thousand miles. What up with that?

Anyone have the same problem? Seems like I'm replacing headlamp bulbs more frequently than I should. Unless this is normal.?.

    CalSci Windshield -- Surprised

I don't have the oem shield. Bought the bike a few years ago with a madstad bracket and shield. Since the bike is a 2016 I assumed it's gen 2. Had another madstad shield on it but it busted a few weeks ago. Wanted to try something nicer like the calsci.

    CalSci Windshield -- Surprised

Just got a CalSci windshield to attach to my Madstad bracket on my 2016 S10 ES. After reading threads here and on advrider.com, I was sure that the windshield would fit on the bracket, no problem. That's one reason why I bought a non-Madstad windshield. But... it doesn't fit. What did I miss...

    Madstad model recommendation?

I just busted my Madstad Tenere windshield (don't ask). I liked it, but it seemed a tad thin and, hence, moved around a little more than I would have liked. The fact that I had to get a 24" model due to my height probably exacerbated the vibrations. I'm considering giving another one a go, such...
