Yes I replaced it with the updated switch, the switch when bad only made the cruise control not work and it did not make the engine stop.

I am not sure if there are any codes recorded as I have gotten to the diagnostic mode but I am not sure what any of it means. Not sure what the open/closed throttle readings are either. Do you have a link to know what the codes stand for? My service manual does not have anything about reading...

Another update, the bike is still doing the same thing after another 500 miles. I have tried both batteries the lithium and lead acid with no change. All grounds look good. Not sure what to look for next.

Yuasa lead acid battery is what I borrowed to try.

I will look at the codes again. The clutch and side stand switch are good as the motor will crank but will not start without turning the key off and then back on, like restarting the computer. When the engine dies I get the flashing ABS light and the check engine light.
