Does anybody here have the Givi Skid plate on their S10? I am looking to pick up a non-expensive, basic skid plate to help protect the oil pan/filter/etc. Most of my riding is on road, with some gravel mixed in. No serious off-roading.

I'd love to hear any opinions on the plate, including installation/removal (mainly, is it a pain to get off to change oil/filter?). I'd also appreciate any pictures on the bike. It looks like the plate only comes in unpainted aluminum. I like the look generally, but my luggage and crash bars are both black, so not sure how this piece will fit in with the rest of the bike.

Many thanks,
FT

Maybe you've figured this out, but Revzilla is showing a different bike's skidplate in their ad for the S10's skidplate. Why I have no idea...

I just installed this plate on my 12. There were a couple small issues with install. The front bracket that mounts to the front of the engine was too wide and required a few milimeters ground off with a bench grinder.

I fit my Givi skid plate today and had the same issue with the front bracket. Luckily I was at a buddy's place so he could weld the nuts to the brackets and he had a grinder. Surprised Givi let that error slip through.

Pleased with how it looks. I'm not going to be bouncing off rocks with it but it should make a decent gravel guard.

That’s my favourite colour. Only ever seen one in person.
