I have kept a spare set of coils since the first time I experienced water ingress. So I used this tape on all 8 coils and still had 1/3 left over.

First of all, you don’t need that much of the tape. I kept it wide and thick, but you can do with less width if you think plumping tape is running out. Additionally I think you would be able to find similar products in Kyrgystan.
Secondly, definitely get in touch when you are in Pakistan. The...
Honestly, I don’t think it would matter, the main aim is to keep the water from dripping down the coil chamber. Just make sure there is a tight fit.

Before I tried putting silicon to stop water from seeping in but without any luck. Tried this before my last 1800km trip and it worked wonders. Not a single drop of water went down to the chamber.
And...
Gents, the issue got resolved. A friend told me that due to the trip there could be idle debris or something in the chamber, so try push starting the bike or connecting it to car battery through jumper cables.
I connected the bike to the car battery and it took a second to start. Kept it...
Gentlemen, I just complete a 1800km tour to the mountains, which included snow, rain, water crossings (up to knee deep) and gravel. All went smoothly. Every time the bike started on first ignition. There were few bumps while crossing water channels but nothing serious.
I came back, parked the...
