The material used by SW-MOTECH is a mild steel. Which is a lot softer than stainless, less brittle, and will give when force is applied. It is their philosophy that the bar should give rather than transfer the energy to the frame.

I cannot say why. This was the information I got from SW-MOTECH. They have all three models in the ZA (ES in North America), the World Crosser, and the "base" model. so they aill be giving us definitive answers shortly.

I have read how others have done it....and there is always a DIY aspect to any farkle. The auto-reset is one of the major features....the other is not having to add another switch. That and the device will be all plug and play.
Not quite sure yet. We need to determine exactly how much wire, connectors, loom etc will be used. Once I have that, we can then determine how long the product takes in assembly. This will be built in our facility here in Tennessee.
