I had a Russell on my 1200 GS and loved it. I did the flat seat mod on my stock Super Tenny saddle but it's still a butt-burner. I'm thinking of going with a Sargeant this time to save a few bucks. I'm still on the fence about it, Russells are great but spendy.

My 2013 was white with the red stripe which was certainly a beautiful combo. However it was very attractive to Toyota Corollas which I assume is why one chose to get intimate with it in a Biblical sense. My 2016 is Raven which is about the coolest way of saying "black and shiny" I've ever seen...

I bought a 2013 ST new in 2013, rode it for a year, got rear ended by a cell phone yapper and totaled the bike. I bought an older Triumph Tiger in rough shape for a project bike after that and rode it until last fall, when I traded it for my new '16 Super Tenny. I don't ride as much as I used to...

I loved my 2013 until it got pasted by a cell phone texter and I love my 2016, if the weather ever lets me ride it! I added a fender extender and skid plate. Probably add altrider crash bars at some point, other than that I plan on riding the tires off it and wash-rinse-repeat. Love the bike...

I got the 4 year Y.E.S. on my leftover 2016. Normally I don't but I got bit pretty hard on my Ford Fusion on an issue that their extended warranty would have covered so I guess it's just insurance. As long as it's a factory warranty and not some aftermarket thing I'm OK with paying the extra...

Same here, I've had 6 BMW's over the years, nice enough bikes but the Super Tenny does everything a GS will do and the FJR does everything a K bike will do with all the added wonkiness and uneccessary complication BMW loves to throw in the mix. I doubt I'd buy another one.

I don't think you're going to be disappointed, the S 10 is an excellent all-rounder and a screaming deal for what you get. The only reason I'd go for the '14 is for the heated grips.

That's what I did, I love the white and red, it reminds me of my YZ when I used to race motocross. However last week that bike and myself got punted down the road by an inattentive driver. I won't know for a few days if the bike is totaled or not, if not then no problem, her insurance will...

6000 miles. it shows kilometers too, specifically every 10,000 km or 6,000 mi.

Anyone know why the difference between the European specified 6000 mile oil change recommendation and the US spec 4000 mile oil change? they both recommend Yamalube 10w40 as the primary oil. Just curious, as far as I know the bikes are the same.....

Taking the baffle out makes it sound really raspy, personally I don't like it and put the baffle back in. If you do get a proper Allen screw for it that you can actually get to. The pipe itself sounds pretty good but I eventually went back to stock, just getting old I guess but I find I like...

Barring clouds of blue smoke or puddles under the bike I don't worry much about oil consumption, I guess I just don't worry about what MAY happen.

There's a sight glass on these? I just drain out the old oil and add 3 1/2 quarts more or less, replace the filter and ride it for another 5k. Seems to work just fine.
