I wouldn't bother with the Dakar version. Especially if you are running a lot of sand. The Dakar is stiffer to help guard against pinch flats.
Absolute best tire for the S10 IMHO.
I'm considering this swap as well... I'm already just about to touch the windscreen at full lock with my hand guards though and its going to be bad with even less sweep. Is there a simple solution?
I've noticed mine runs at 165 as well, when its cold out. Must be where they set the thermostat. I'm sure they picked that temp for a reason no?

You won't even recognize the jumbled mess that it was. Yes I've had a kerosine heater in it for years. Worked surprisingly well considering it was uninsulated.
Yup... That local was me. All statements above are accurate. I'm glad I was able to sample the difference valving makes because now I want to do it next year. I would say its worth the money if you are a suspension connoisseur. The springs make the biggest difference for sure though.
