    Buying advice needed

This is exactly what expected as a best-case scenario. If it all went perfect, it'd be nearly a month before I could legally ride it. Thanks for the advice.

    Buying advice needed

I should have mentioned that the seller said he'd have to "request a payoff amount" and "send them the payment" and "send the title when it arrives in the mail". I didn't get the impression that the lender was local, but he didn't really say. I just presumed based on what he told me, so I got...

    Buying advice needed

I live in TN and want to buy a used motorcycle from someone in AL. The seller is still making payments, so the title is tied up w/ whomever financed it. This seems like a common scenario, but it also seems like a lot could go wrong. I did some research and read that my best hope is if the lender...

why stock shift lever is not folding?

I know this is an old thread, but I've worn a couple of the rubber rings off my toe peg and can't bring myself to buy a whole new lever. How'd you get the OEM toe peg off? It appears to be welded on.

Found a neat spot for my EZ-Pass

About an inch above your EZ-Pass is a horizontal groove. My garage door opener fit perfectly with some velcro and a zip tie just like you did. I guess great minds think alike :D.

    Givi S250 Toolbox

Re: Givi S250 tool box mounting kit When I was looking for a locking toolbox solution, I considered the Givi S250 also. I never saw the crashbar mounting option, so that's new to me. Either way, I have Altrider crashbars and Hepco & Becker pannier racks, so nothing short of me fabricating a...

will Altrider master cylinder guard fit my 2012

I am a bit confused about the Altrider rear brake master cylinder guard. Their site says it only fits 2014 and newer models. Searching around here has turned up several threads where 2012 S10s have been sold with Altrider guards. Others have 2012 owners buying takeoffs from other bikes. I don't...

    More on my spoke ordeal

This is 100% pure speculation, but my guess is that the spokes are to be tightened as part of the dealer prep and/or user maintenance. In fact, I wonder if anyone at the Yamaha factory where the bike is made ever even touches a wheel. There's probably a list of things that dealer prep...

    Camping and Sleep Apnea

My BiL is some kind of electronics genius and tells me that my settings have a huge effect on how much juice the device uses. My BiPAP is set to 24 in / 18 out, so I use a LOT more juice than most. IIRC, he said I'd need something like 65 Ah. I've been reading threads all over the internet...

Help fitting tool box on my S10

I mounted this cute little color coordinated box to my pannier rack until I decide what to do permanently. It's solid as a brick bat, but may not keep all the water out long term. The lock is on the bottom, out of sight and the lid opens upwards.

Question on wiring up USB power

The SAE plug you purchased has a 7.5 amp fuse, which is plenty for most items but not for high drain items like most compressors and heated jackets. The USB adapter is a separate component. It steps the current from the 7.5 amp SAE wire down to 3.1 amps to safely charge items that would fry at...

Needing some advice on a potential sale that sounds too good to be true

Lucky for you I'm 2000 miles away or I'd be trying to find him on Craigslist and buy it out from under you. Just kidding, maybe. Wish I had some sage advice. I would be somewhat suspicious myself. Around here that will get you a low mileage 2014 without farkles .
