I'm having the same issue right now. Bike is idling at 2500 rpm and I'm experiencing some surging and a really twitchy throttle. Can you tell me any more about this issue? Mine is a 2012.

Bingo! I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened. Thanks for the tip but I think it's worn down too far for that to work. Thought about trying to get a welder to build it back up and then file it flat, but that seems a little too hackish for some as vital as brakes. Think I'll try for one...

Just mounted a new EO7+ Dakar last night. Will report back once I get a chance to ride on it a bit. Replacing a K60 with, which technically still had some life in it. Just wanted some fresh rubber in advance of some trips this summer.
