It seems everytime I have a bike I really love, it has to go in order to pay for something stupid, like dental work, food, gas, clothing... you know, mundane stuff... My previous 2012 had to go for such a reason back in 2018. Absolutely loved that bike, but that's spilled milk under the bridge...

Re: 2012 yellow tenere $5500 It's a slammin' deal but a tough time of year to sell a bike. I let an 09 FJR with 35K go about a year ago for $5500 right before I moved from VA to NH. Hurt like hell but I needed the cash to finance the move.

I just removed a worn out (9500 mi) set of K-60 Scouts and spooned on the 705 Shinkos. So far I'm very pleased with how the bike behaves on pavement, haven't been in the dirt yet. I'm doing a trip from NH to western Ohio in September and we'll see how they wear but if I get 5,000 out of these...

Went with the Givi Trekker 52 Monokey and the Altrider rack and monokey adapter. Got the back rest for the Mrs. They don't give this stuff away, do they? ::021::

Now to peruse the luggage forum for a top case.... Too many options for a simpleton like myself.
