SW-Motech Crashbars (pics) ETA: Fit Issues

Is there any update on this? I was hoping for the SW Motech and Pelican set-up from Twisted Throttle because they are a site sponsor, but only if the fit and finish is good and they don't stick-out too much in the wrong places.

TEXAS Super Tenere check in ! ! !

I am looking forward to meeting some of you and also to riding the hill country. Plenty of backroads and dirt roads to explore. I am waiting on a Raven model. Because Yamaha allowed me to cancel and special order I may be getting the last 2012 serial number when it arrives. Depends on if...

    A Versys Adventure

Looks like a fun ride for a day. Good exploring and good scenery. The Versys can do more than your tires would let you doo. Tire limited for sure. Just watch out you don't hit any of those big steel trees on that gravel road!

TEXAS Super Tenere check in ! ! !

Hi all! I am a transplanted Texan. Been in the process of moving to Austin area for more than a year and it has been planned for July for a few months. Originally ordered in another state, but with the delay in delivery I got my order cancelled and re-ordered by Yamaha USA for delivery to a...

ADV BOOTS, what ya got, what ya like ?

I have 20,000 miles on my Balance Oiled, but my pegs are not that agressive. I have a ruber insert on my 1200 GS Adventure and the pegs don't dig in. I can see NO wear on the soles but the soles are sewn-on and are replacable. I wear size 15 and was able to special order from a shop in AZ.

ADV BOOTS, what ya got, what ya like ?

Gaerne Balance Oiled - Flexible Boot that is totally water-proof and easy to ride as well as hike/walk in when off the bike. It has a gum sole for grip and it is really comfortable. The sole and flexibility is because it is designed as a Trials boot. (You need to walk the trials course and...

How many S10's do you think Yamaha sold in the US??

Those numbers are based in general PROFIT per bike. Total is big $, but they have their cost and theit goal is PROFIT. Building the bike is not free for them. Production cost + Engineering and Manuals and testing and certification for each model year add up to a lot. If they feel that this...

How many S10's do you think Yamaha sold in the US??

My concern is about sustainability for our bikes. If they only sold 1,000 they may not ever have them as a dealer stocked bike. My uninformed (based on non-motor vehicle market) estimated cost for US EPA/DOT and CARB Certification is >~$300K. They need to sell ~3000 units to make up for that.

Super Tenere XT1200Z "Hooligan switch" - HELP NEEDED

Regarding turning-off the ABS function for only the rear wheel: In looking at this schematic, other motorcycle ABS schematics and understanding the logic of how the ABS works, it would take an ABS Control unit/ECU software change to make this happen. With this small of a production I doubt...
