    no start

Yep! Lights only on when running. I guess I never noticed because it always started immediately. WOT started right up. What I don't understand is why after replacing the battery I had my first hard start issue in 6200 miles. Same starting ritual. ??? ???

    no start

During last weeks ride I found out the hard way my battery was weak. Had to have a push start. Yesterday I started her up no problem. Today I replaced the battery with a new fully charged XTreme motorsport battery. Went to start her and she would only crank no start. So I notice my...

    Gettin too old to push

Yep, 11 years younger. She gave it a good go but she said she was afraid of doing a face plant once it fired up. ;D Plan on getting a new battery this week. All connections looked good. I felt it was borderline early this year but since I am cheap I didn't want to spend the money. But some...

    Gettin too old to push

Looked to be fine morning for a breakfast ride and off the wife and I went. Stopped 80mi. from home , ate breakfast and then geared up. CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK CLICKCLICK OH CRAP. No go. Well the wife wasn't happy when I asked her to push me >:( >:( She tried but couldn't get to speed. Luckily...

    Oxford heated grips

Thanks for the input. I took the bar end weight off and looked at the throttle tube and saw a small amount of glue on the edge giving just enough friction to keep it from closing. Cleaned it good and put the bar end weight, etc. back in place. Took my bike out for the first time this year and...

    Oxford heated grips

I applied the glue to the throttle tube only. I thought I was careful not to push any glue out the end when I slid the grip into place. I am hoping to take the bike out for the first time tomorrow and maybe as I work the throttle it might free up. :-\

    Oxford heated grips

Finally had a chance to install my new Oxford heated grips two days ago. To my dismay today when rotating the throttle open it doesn't want to return back to closed throttle on it's own. That don't seem right. I was SO careful with the glue and it went together without much fanfare. I've...

    Yoshimura exhaust arrived today!

I have not heard the Arrow on a Tenere, but have on a Triumph twin and liked the tone. I am 62 and by no means want a loud obnoxious pipe. Without the insert it is just right for me, sounding almost like my old Ducati 900 . My wife rides with me 80% of time and she say's it doesn't bother her...

    Yoshimura exhaust arrived today!

I installed the Yoshimura and can tell you it is the best sounding exhaust out there. High quality construction. You can insert the db killer in seconds. I left the db killer out and it is perfect. Nice throaty tone when cruising, and really sings when you roll on the throttle. My riding...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Went in the garage and threw another blanket on her. Temps dipped to -16 F with windchill temps at -45 F. 3-4ft snow drifts. It's going to be a long winter! :'(

    Anyone know what this is?

Looks like someone put together a relay & wiring to power up auxillary lighting. :-\

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

After removing the db killer insert I found the most glorious sweet sound coming from my bike since the days of my Ducati 900 ownership. I only made one other adjustment and that was to reposition my hyper-lites, they were beginning to feel the heat. ;D

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

I cut down the muffler shield and painted it black. Now you can see the craftsmanship of the Yoshimura. And I fixed my camera, adding a photo to boot. ::014::
