Are they dimmable?I spent about $1300 on a pair of adaptive headlights that I mounted in front of the stock lights(which have been unplugged, and plasti-dipped). They light everything up better than the stock lights ever did. They also light up the inside while cornering.
I do enough night riding to justify the expense. Seeing the deer before they jump out is more important than having a fat wallet.
I don't love how they look, and would like to find a bracket that brings them closer to the bike, but I love they way they work...View attachment 105470
They have a low and a high beam. They also have a small marker light, for those who don't have the "always on" law to comply with. Are they dimmable?
I really like that temp on HIDs. Have you had any issues with the longevity of your HID bulbs?I run 4300k HID bulbs in the main beams mostly for the wavelength, I've found them very good at getting the eyes of wildlife to glow. It's like seeing fireflies at a distance, and that's a big help. I live rural and ride a lot at night, so this matters. Does not work on moose, dunno why.
For high beams, I have a pair of Hella leds. Marketed at the jeep crowd, they're kinda big on a bike, but they're my "holy fuck" lights, as a buddy calls them. Inexpensive, too, at $250/pr w/harness. All my lights on high beam are around 20k lumens, stock halogens are 2200, for reference.

WOW that's expensive - FYI I have 2 sets of Denali D3"s with their Dial Dim probably spent around $1800 CDN all in. The main reason I spent this money is because i want to be seen by the idiots driving cars - I can tell you that people see me coming FYI I do very little driving at night but will probably try them to see their impact on night vision !Hi there,
I was with a friend who has also a bike (I will let you guess the brand) and informed me that he installed Denali D7 D4 with control module that integrates with the factory buttons etc....for a whopping 2500 USD...has anyone felt the need to have 4 sun like lights on the top of the factory lights?
For that budget I got front and rear ohlins suspension, two aux lights at 55 USD and 45 USD for their installation and a sandwish....
Just checking if I am old now and out of sync....or just too rational about Farkling my bike....
Cheers

I generally get 4 years out of them before a bulb or ballast goes. That's 40k kms a year riding, lots of run time and vibrations. Given the price, I'm good with that.I really like that temp on HIDs. Have you had any issues with the longevity of your HID bulbs?
How many Inches are those LED? Thought about testing some 7in led from China that strangely look almost the same as the BD ones...but at 70 usd a pieceI run 4300k HID bulbs in the main beams mostly for the wavelength, I've found them very good at getting the eyes of wildlife to glow. Thanks a lot. I think I will go for the Chinese ones for the same size
I used the Denali mount, then added a flat piece of aluminum going all the way across for them to bolt to. I'd recommend figuring out how you can do it on yours before you commit. Thanks a lot. I think I will go for the Chinese ones for the same size
