Bottom line up front, looking to find a good repair shop in the Madisonville TX region most likely to have the S10's tire sizes.
The Mrs and I were en route to the Ozarks when a puncture took the rear tire out. I repaired the flat but the sidewall is deformed and not repairable.
I deflated and reseated the bead. Same problem. I'm thinking the load did the damage as it was losing pressure. Wife weighs approx 100 lbs. I'm about 205. Contents of all 3 OEM cases is about 35 lbs. Still, I decided not to chance a complete failure while limping to the next town with precious cargo on the back.
Gave in and called my insurance for a tow. 4 hours into the evening (Progressive really screwed stuff up!!) and MANY mosquito bites later, we got our tow. Currently at a hotel in Madisonville Texas and wondering if any of my S10 brothers and sisters might know of a good shop in this region of Texas most likely to have the S10's tire sizes in stock. There seem to be no adequate shops in the Madisonville TX area.
Thanks in advance all
