agreed. i don't think it looks ugly, it kind of just looks like a leather bike jacket... for your bike
if my bike was brand new, or had brand new paint, i'd likely wrap it in a blacked out or matte finish.. surprisingly though, the factory finish is pretty rugged.. i kind of beat mine up this past weekend and the scratches buffed out with a clay bar. if it were my car the paint would be gone with the same abuse
I guess I was thinking that the bike would go back to the dealership to sort out the cutting out after a spell of rain.
When I read the small print of the extended warranty it said excluding corrosion, I guessed it would be a waste of time and money as they'd likely not stump up the money, plus I wanted to put the iridium plugs in, so I did it myself.
You see, when it went in for the cruise control recall, it came out with a scratch on the tank that wasn't there before, so a bagster was bought thinking it would go back for the warranty item.
As it is, I liked it and so I kept it, seeing them in photos didn't convince me, but once on the bike it was different.
Apart from that, it's a good way to mount a tank bag
