For those who've added bar risers, what is your experience and recommendation...between these two and any other options out there?
Thanks!
Thanks!
This is the option I went with.ProTaper makes a taller bar as well.
Good thing about the Helibar's is it has everything you need to raise your bars in the kit. The brake line extension and indexing/moving the clutch line is very simple and well thought out. The factory service manual calls OEM brake lines to be replaced after 4 years. Simply get them a few inches longerMy choice would be Helibar Risers but because of the wire and lines issues with every brand so far I have not bought any.
Ergos are a very personal choice for sure. I can tell you the very best way I have found to find proper bar position is to sit in your normal riding position, close your eyes, and let your hands drop to where you feel comfortable.I did the Helibars and used Fasst Flex handle bars in ADV High. It's nowhere near enough. I'm going to remove the Helibars and use the Rox 3 1/2" risers. I'm tired of the shoulder pain. The other option is to sell the bike for something more ergonomic. Of course that may happen anyway. I'm thinking about moving into the 21st century.
Since I bought my S10 in 2016, I had been considering raising the bar. I was comfortable on the bike but felt that when I was standing being able to be more upright might feel better. For those who've added bar risers, what is your experience and recommendation...between these two and any other options out there?
