For those who've added bar risers, what is your experience and recommendation...between these two and any other options out there?

Thanks!

Rox risers work fine for me. I'm 6 feet and a hair. Added the longer lines. I've found they really increased my comfort with less shoulder and neck pain. That said, I've also adjusted how I manage my posture on the bike and think the two inch risers are the highest I'd ever consider. They are fine for the sit up and beg posture, but a tad high for a more forward lean. That said, I really like the position for standing and they let me move how I like good enough.

I like them fine, but am going to be testing various positions to see how they can work for more forward lean.

So think about how you ride and want to be positioned. My tastes have changed a tad and the helibars may have been a good option.

Helibars all the way!! Comes with great instructions and everything you need to make the conversion. Best way to tell if they are the right fit is to close your eyes and drop your hands in a comfortable position.

They are 1 1/4" tall X 1 1/2" back.

I bought and installed the Helibar unit for my 2016. I'm 6' 2" with long waist and needed the bars to come back and up to get me upright. The Helibars appeared to provide the most setback and rise combination. They were pretty easy to install and the instructions were good, although some of the photos were a bit small for my old eyes. The hardware helped put me in a more comfortable position while riding though. I'm happy with them.

Edit: As a point of information, I also discovered that the stock handlebar supports/risers (again, on mine - a 2016) are offset from the fastener that attaches them to the fork. If you remove the handlebar and loosen the nut attaching the riser to the fork (14 mm wrench fit mine), you can rotate the support/riser 180 degrees and it will move the groove the bar sits in slightly forward away from you or back toward you. Obviously, if you do one, do the other too so you don't have crooked handlebars.

I had the Rox Risers on my last S10, went with the Helibars this time. They fit me great and I like the rigidity of the one piece design as well as the extra brake line.

Got the Helibar riser block installed, finally. At first, when just sitting on the bike on the centerstand after install, the difference seems subtle, but when riding, comfort is greatly improved! Haven't gone on a long ride yet (only 2 rides of 50-70 miles), but I'm very happy with the Helibar product. Install was pretty straightforward, although a little confusing in terms of what to do with the various cables. Had a buddy with a lot more motorcycle experience help, and no problem. A brake line extension is included and you're required to bleed the upper portion of the brake line after install, which went fine. Overall, thumbs up for Helibar.

I have the helibars and they were a pain to figure out even after some information I found here after some long digging. In the end its a bit better but will more flex in the bars due to the offset. One of the bolts left hand I could not back near the clutch cable because there is not enough room for me to get it back in. Over all high quality but I would rather use a longer brake in the end.

I had no issues with my Heliriser install and there is less flex than I got with Rox risers on my previous S10.

My choice would be Helibar Risers but because of the wire and lines issues with every brand so far I have not bought any.

Good thing about the Helibar's is it has everything you need to raise your bars in the kit. The brake line extension and indexing/moving the clutch line is very simple and well thought out. The factory service manual calls OEM brake lines to be replaced after 4 years. Simply get them a few inches longer

I did the Helibars and used Fasst Flex handle bars in ADV High. It's nowhere near enough. I'm going to remove the Helibars and use the Rox 3 1/2" risers. I'm tired of the shoulder pain. The other option is to sell the bike for something more ergonomic. Of course that may happen anyway. I'm thinking about moving into the 21st century.

Ergos are a very personal choice for sure. I can tell you the very best way I have found to find proper bar position is to sit in your normal riding position, close your eyes, and let your hands drop to where you feel comfortable.

A very common mistake is to get the bars too high and that will cause a lot of shoulder pain over time. Only you can decide what is right for you.

Since I bought my S10 in 2016, I had been considering raising the bar. I was comfortable on the bike but felt that when I was standing being able to be more upright might feel better.
Mind you, I ride on paved roads 98% of the time and then only gravel roads. So a rider doing more offroad might want to be more forward while standing. I am 5'11'' with 32in inseam.
And then when I looked at different products on internet, I just couldn't buy one. But then I was lucky to attend a motorcycle salon event and meet a Yamaha dealership rep who was displaying his own S10 all farkled up. His bike had risers so he kindley allowed me to mount the bike and get a feel. What made the deal was the low price of his risers which are imported from Turkey. Yeah I know. And price has doubled since then.
Anyway, I am very satisfied with these risers which I ordered on eBay. No problem with the length of wires or any other restriction.
Item number 262890673975 on eBay.
