Hi, I'm looking to buy a set of hard cases for my 2015 S10 ES, and I'm seeing pannier kits (cases, racks and hardware) for different model Teneres. Can someone chime in and let me know if there are any differences between the following S10 model numbers, and which relates to my '15 ES:

XZT1200Z
XTZ1200ZE

Is the "E" for electronic suspension or does it designate the 2014 and newer bikes with the updates?

(On my bill of sale, my bike's model number is XTZ12EFR)

ta muchly!

Yes, the ZE is the ES version with electronic suspension. The location of the rear shock actuator, (I think that's what it is), creates a different mount point for the frame of aftermarket luggage on the right side. So standard model luggage racks won't fit directly on an ES/ZE model. The luggage itself, I believe, is the same.

I don't know about Overseas models, but in Australia the difference in "pannier kits" also takes into consideration that that the ES bike comes with a better rear passenger seat and grab handles. the STD version has a slim rear seat and no grab handles.

So for a STD bike the pannier mount kit also might include the grab handles I think. so more $$$
The ES kit does not, but there is as stated above, a different RHS lower pannier mount.
