I'm looking for a nice medium size waterproof duffle. Should around 24" long and around 11.5" high.

I was using a Cabelas 50 liter and it is really a great bag that will hold a ton of stuff. Then I saw a thread on a Watershed bags. I needed a smaller bag just for clothes and personal gear. I have the Chattooga and it is a really tough bag and very waterproof. Here is a link.

That is a good deal if you don't mind red. I got one in black, but had to look around. They make other size bags as well.

Here is where I bought mine. They have a nice blue one, but are out of black.

I think the twisted throttle d28 and d38 are hard to beat.

Whatever you decide, make sure it's stupid thick. Otherwise, you will wear a hole in it quickly.

Wolf man makes some good ones as well.

I've been using the Seattle Sports roll top duffel from Sierra Trading Post: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/seattle-sports-roll-top-waterproof-duffel-bag-large~p~2580g/?filterString=s~dry-bag%2F&colorFamily=32

I find it a bit easier to pack than the traditional drybags, though it is a little more difficult to get the air out of.

Chris
+1 on dry bags. I have been using them for years. Inexpensive, durable, and easy to find.

Here is a 22" x 12 1/2" 44 liter bag. The Tenere is 22" from the back of the riders seat to the end of the stock rear rack.

Are my calculations right at 70 L bag?
You probably are right - I never gace it a lot of thought. :) I know the bag will hold my tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, stove, 3 days worth of food, a couple changes of clothes, and a laptop and still have space left over.

Pic attached; there is a Bags Connection bag over the top - this was the pickup trip for the bike, and I needed space for dress clothes (suit, etc.), and some goodies I pulled off the VStrom. Usually I don't carry much stuff.

I had most of the bags suggested in this thread. I'd go for the Cabela's bag. The rectangular design gives you roughly 30% more capacity than a round bag.

I also have a few sea to summit big river bags, they have lash loops to keep the straps from rolling off the side.

I also have a bunch of different Kriega waterproof bags, a 20 liter and 2 30 liter bags. Depending on the size of your tent, you might be able to fit it into a 30l with room to spare. I can fit my tent, sleeping pad and sleeping bag in a US-30.

This may be too big for you...

I bought two of these and decided I only need one to hold the tent and sleeping bag and misc.

Like new condition. Will ship for $75 if you are interested.
Freebird, if triman is not interested, I am. I've been looking for a dry bag and was leaning towards a Wolfman bag. But this is a good deal - especially since I am in DFW and can ride over and pick it up. Any excuse to ride, right? Let me know, Scott

I'm using the BMW Rollbag 2 and love it. Most duffle bags have to be bungeed to the bike, making it a pita to access the contents. But the BMW bag has a quick-release system that attaches the bottom of the bag to the bike, allowing unhindered access to the contents through the waterproof zipper on the bag's top. The bag comes with three sets of quick-release straps. I added a set to each of my bikes and swap the bag around as needed.

I saw that bag and almost bought it. I think it is a good buy as well, I went to my local Sportsman wharehouse and got something cheaper (I will see how well it holds up) for 14.99 on clearance. I guess if I tear it up I will order this one.
