This is the Schuylkill River as seen from the 25th floor of our building in Philly. I believe it's still rising.

Wow!

The dude with the black SUV in the back of the parking lot is going to need a canoe to get to it.

LOL - Nice!

They are saying now that the Schuylkill will not crest until Friday morning, so I expect that parking lot will be fully submerged for a few days!

I live in Norristown (away from the Schuylkill) but rode down yesterday to see how high it had gotten. i don't recall ever seeing it as high as it is now, even during Hur Floyd a few years ago. Water, water, everywhere!

This brings to mind an old Bill Cosby line when he did the Noah bit . . . God "Noah?" Noah "Yes God?" God "Noah, how long can you tread water?"

I'd like to see someone from the Philly parking authority swim out and put a boot on that one! ::025:: ::025:: ::025::

Has anybody been to Knoebels grove in Elysburg, PA? It's an old time amusement park, no admission fees. Awesome place to camp and bring the family. My wife just showed me this:

Very sad. I hope they recover, because I love that place.
I think they showed it on abc news tonight.

Regarding the river and parking lot pics. The suv was towed away a couple of hours after the picture was taken, then later in the afternoon the water level went back down to within the containment of the river walls. I'm sure the level will rise again tomorrow.

Koinz, Did you ride the ST there? You could probably fit it in a freight elevator to take it above the flood waters - LOL

No, I didn't ride in today. The roads everywhere were a mess, but we have a nice freight elevator. It could fit 2 or 3 Teneres in there for sure, then I could roll it over to my office space. The view from my space is the same but 20 floors lower. :D

There's a secret pipeline being built as we speak from the north east. Its in the jobs bill Obama spoke about. Stay tuned. ??? Kind of like the bridge to no where. ::025::

On a serious note, you Guys in TX can really use some of this H2O. Hopefully things are cooling off for you there.
