I did a search and could not find a thread about this.. I bought the 14 ES and noticed it did not have any balancing weights on the both wheels.. My '12 did not have any either..

How are the wheels balanced at the factory?

When it comes time to replace the tires, do I get them balanced with stick on weights?

If your having vibes, bring it back to the dealer and tell them to balance them. It should not have left the dealership like that.

So do others here have S10 with balancing weights on their wheels?

I've had 2 S10's and both had none.

I have no memory if weights were on it from the factory. Both bikes have them now and for every tire I've ever changed.

I don't know if the factory balances them, or if that's a setup job for the dealer.
My '12 came with stick on weights on the rear and no weights on the front. Seemed plenty smooth, I assume the front just came out close enough.

There are those that never bother with balancing at all. I use stick-on.

I just replaced my original tires on my '13. No weights from factory. Put on K-60's. The front needed no weights and the back needed 1-1/4 oz. So I bought a box of motion pro stick on weights on amazon for $7. Now I have balancing weights for life. Now they are balanced, but not sure how long a 50/50 tire will stay balanced, especially riding off road.

No weights on my 2012. My dealer uses dynabeads. They were skeptical at first
but after 5 years of use they not had one issue.

When I lived in Asia the dealer used to look at me like I was mad if I asked for my wheels to be balanced. He'd say 'we dont even do that on our race/track bikes'
Ive ridden now for years without balancing wheels and it always seems fine to me.

No weights on my wheels from stock. Fitted my own tyres, lining up the heavy to light points and didn't need any weights. Had same make tyres fitted by a professional and ended up with 20 stick on grams on my rim.

Never really noticed, but thinking about it I do not remember my 2011 having weights from new, I always seem to notice them when cleaning, and I am pretty certain from new it had none now I try and think back.

I was intrigued by this thread so I went into the garage for a look. No weights on the rear and a 5g 'stick on' on the front. As it's black on black rims it's virtually unnoticeable.

I haven't balanced a wheel in 7 years. For both tube and tubeless tires, I put Ride-On in for continuous balancing. Added benefit is if you get a very small object in the tire it will seal it until convenient for you to remove object and plug it properly.

Going with the majority...no factory weights on either end of my '12.

Replaced the original rear Metzler with a 'stone, lined up the dots and it was perfect w/o any added weight. OTOH, even when lining up dots, my FJR almost always needs additional weight for balancing.

On my second front and 3rd rear. I just put them on and ride, and have never balanced. Never had an issue!

I am constantly looking for the biggest and nastiest knobbies I can put on the Beast.

How could I possibly know if they are balanced? And what good would it do? LOL
It is never gonna feeeeeel balanced.

(although, strangely, at about 95 mph, they feeeeel like street tires. :) )
