Hey guys, I want to know if anyone has used this type of wheel balancer and are they any good. With the charges of our local bike shops to change/ balance tires, I can pay for a changer and balancer. I was given a Harbor Freight tire changer so just need the motorcycle adapter they also sell.

I run either dynabeads or ride on tire balancer sealant. I like the concept of ride on, not sure if it actually works or not.

I make my living in the motorcycle tire business and that's the kind of balancer I've used for 40+ years.

I've had good luck with a similar model also.

Another option that takes up less room is Marc Parnes.

I just used my HF changer for the first time a couple weeks back. Great setup! I used both mojo blocks and the mojo lever and the changer is bolted to my garage floor. Use plenty of Ruglide lube (spelling?) and the right techniques and you're gold. Bought the Marc Parnes balancer to complete the job. Very impressed.

My HF changer has paid for itself many times over. Rather than keeping it permanently set up, I have a 4' x 4' piece of plywood with carriage bolts and wing-nuts that the base will mount to. When not in use, zip off the 4 carriage bolts and the entire thing stores easily in the shed.

The HF changer works well with car tires too. The only catch is that you need a different balancer.
