Those are Shinko 705s. If you use them make sure to get the Radial Ply Tire not the Bias Ply. Blew the rear tread off at over 100mph. Scary. Never again.

Been running the radials. Milage on rear was not that great. Front has done OK mileage wise. Check around for much better pricing.

Look like the Full Bore. Two of my buds put them on their V-Stroms. We did a 2400 mile trip last year through New Mexico & Arizona. Showed little & even wear. They did surprisingly well off road

Full Bore. I like them. The rear runs out a little early, about 7,000 miles. The front will prolly do two to one pretty easily, about 11k right now, though it's gotten pretty noisy. My understanding is that they use the Shinko 705 molds, better/more belting, higher speed rating, and I thought I read a higher load capacity.
Chaparral's price is lower than that ad, and free shipping.

Just realized who the OP was, Chaparral is just up the hill from you.

I can see the add and label says Full Bore but I had not heard of that brand before.
The Full Bore website I found says they are Japanese.
http://www.fullboretires.com/
Although on reviewing that is says "Japanese engineered and precision manufactured" so may be designed in Japan and built in Laos or Cambodia or Pakistan or wherever the new cheap hot spot is.

The tire looks decent though and from Chaparral the price is about $185 including tax for both....V rated to 149 mph.
If I got 3000 miles out of it I would be happy. I have never got more than 5k out of any tire let alone a dirt tire. I am used to getting 2k max out of Dunlop D606 on my KTM....MAX. I got 700 out of one.....fun weekend though ::013::

The tire here looks like it could be worth a try. I am NOT a guy who runs them forever and I really want some kind of knob on my bike.

I looked up the Shinko 705 and that is the same tread pattern for sure. There is some connection between the 2.
But the Shinko says it is lower rated. Definitely some issues with the Shinko I have read.

Oh well

The tire has the Shinko tread pattern with wider gaps between blocks.
The Full Bore tires on my bike were made in Korea.
Have 11000 miles on current front with a lot of tread left.
They are reported to feel funny for first few hundred miles and live up to that reputation. Not sure if something changes or you just get used to it.
Price has gone up. My first set back in August was less than $130 for set.
I will be using the Full Bore Front and K60 rear for upcoming six month long ride for longevity. Would use the Full Bore rear over K60 if wear was better.

I tried a Full Bore rear because it was cheap. Worked ok, lasted about 5k miles. A little better off-road than the stock tire, similar on pavement to stock rear.
