I'd like to see a "view unread" option at the tops of threads. Sometimes it's a pain to find where you left off.
And some indication of what threads I've posted in. Like in Advrider.

There's a link at the top of the page under "Hello Spaggy" that shows all unread threads since your last visit. Maybe not exactly what you want but close.

But if the thread has multiple posts it won't jump you to the first one you haven't read. What I do is click that link and the click the icon to the far right of each thread which takes you to the last post and then backpedal up to my first unread post using post dates as my reminder.

There's a setting to sort the threads by most recent first - go to
modify profile
look and layout
and then check the box that says "Show most recent posts at the top."

That gets you mostly the way there I think. I don't think this forum software has the ability to do what you are asking.

The little icon you are clicking on the far right takes you to the last post in that thread. If you click the link on the far left, says "new" it will take you to first unread post in that thread.

This is correct. Whenever you see a "new" button, it should take you right to the last point you left off at.

This is how I read the forum every morning. Usually have 2-3 pages of new posts each day...

I guess I'm not seeing it? Far left just lists pages and 'go down'.
Farther up, next to your profile picture.
