So, I was out for a ride on Saturday and saw two different S10's. One in Genoa, IL and the other in DeKalb, IL. Both great looking machines.

I don't know about everyone else, but near Chicago S10's are not very common at all. Most of the motorcycles are dominated by Harleys or crotch rockets.

Either way it was cool to see two others in the same day!! ::26:: ::015::

Wasn't me but could have been... I've been through Genoa and 64 north of DeKalb.
There are a few of us in the area. I tend to ride west from the 'burbs to get out to the country.

Thanks for the road suggestion! I will have to check it out. I am the same, I tend to go west to get out of the insanity. I did find some pretty cool track's down by Ottawa along the river.

Starved Rock ride is already programmed in the GPS. Looking forward to it.

The only time I've seen two other Tenere's in the same area was on the Tail of the Dragon on Labor day weekend.
BTW, don't EVER do that! It was PACKED with every brand bike out there!
Only seen two Tenere's with all that.

Let me rephrase this, as I was on mine, and a riding buddy was on his (with three other friends on diff bikes)..............
Then I saw two other ones.

OK, OK. That was 4 Tenere's to be precise! But that's it. No other ones, the whole ride. End of story..............Good bye.

Ha! I was picking up what you were laying down! That is pretty amazing with all of those bikes only 4 of them were Tenere's.

The only other time I saw them with some degree of frequency was when I went to Washington State. It seemed like every other bike on the road was an adventure bike of some kind.

What a coincidence. I was up at the Tail of the Dragon last weekend on my cruiser (Victory Cross Country). My son found me a super deal on a new 2013 S10 in Atlanta, fully outfitted. When I rode it back up the motel in Franklin, NC that evening, just as I was getting off the bike, 5 other S10's rode into the parking lot. All 2012's except 1 which was a 14. I was able to learn a lot about my new ride that evening. Was also an amazing ride on the Dragon, Cherahala, Wayah and Moonshine 28 on the S10 compared to my Victory.

I've only had it a week and am already wearing it out.

Was one red? Very slight chance it was me. I rode 64 from west of Randall Road to 2. North on 2 then 20 and backroads home that morning. 64 is Sycamore, not Dekalb.

Actually I think both were black. One of them was parked in downtown Genoa in front of a restaurant.

The other I think may have been one of the instructors of the MSP class in DeKalb. I rode by to see if they had classes going on and it was parked by the motorcycle trailer.

When I rode back by the class one of the instructors gave me a wave and the head nod of approval, so it must have been him.
