The new Tron Legacy movie opened in the US today. The wife and I saw it in iMAX 3D today, it's a visual masterpiece. Awesome visuals. The female cast is hot as hell.

The story was decent as well, and they did a good job of playing homage to the original Tron in a few ways.

Two things I didn't quite get though:

1. They had to travel all the way out to bumblesmurf to get out of the system, yet when Sam Flynn beamed in he ended up in the grid version of Flynn's arcade. Are you telling me that every time the elder Flynn beamed in he had to hitch a ride out to bumblesmurf to get back out? All the while knowing he only had 8 hours or the safe would lock?

2. What was with Tron's sudden change of heart at the end? No trigger whatsoever that I picked up on.

Other than that great flick, very enjoyable, and that Ducati that Sam rode was sweeeet. All of a sudden I'm looking at Ducati's website thinking the Multistrada might not be thaaat expensive (yes it is). ;D

Anybody else see it yet?

We saw it yesterday, sound was way too loud and we had to hold our fingers in our ears, even after telling them it was too loud. Still liked the movie, tho if I had been alone would most likely have left.

The Monster was nice, and the first game on the bikes was cool, wished they did more of that.

Thats one the reasons i watch movies at home these days, you control how you watch the movie, sound, picture, food prices, lol

Sci-fi is a must for me .... need my dose of escapism .... way too much messed up stuff in the real world. 'The horror! .... the horror!' (and who said that then?)

Sci-fi for me as well. Sadly they don't make too many sci-fi flicks compared to most other genres.

If you're looking for a good sci-fi horror flick check out Pandorum. It's reminiscent of Event Horizon, another great sci-horror film.

must admit that I will watch (and read) almost any science fiction I can get my hands on or buy a ticket to though admit that though I have the AVATAR special edition that i haven't watched all the disks, yet. still have one to go. That extra umpteen hours of stuff is a lot to watch. Should manage it by this weekend though.
