Hey bud, this isn't regular plastic, it's high strength German plastic. ::025::

But seriously, It's injection molded so I'd say we're paying for their tooling costs.

If any one is going to purchase the right heel protector DON'T. The thing is dangerous I have almost dumped the bike twice when coming to a stop when my pant leg got caught on the top part of the protector. The design of the AltRider is far superior than the Tourathech.

...and, per the installation instructions, we're probably also paying for the highly engineered mount design consisting of six zip ties. But they're probably the better German kind of zip ties. :)

That isn't regular plastic, but Unobtainium enriched plastic.

However, it fits, no tinkering, ready to go.

Hi,

TT (Nickname for Touratech in Germany) is called an "pharmazie"........(Apotheke in Geman).....because the prices for medizin are really high in Germany...... :'(

The TT parts are very expensive, but the quality is perfect! And you will not find any parts for less in better conditions!

And....... the most customers are BMW riders.....these bikes are expensive too, so these riders buy the parts at TT.......TT is specialised for BMW.....

Have a nice Day.

Kaleu :)

Could always by a set and lay up your own fiberglass, kevlar, or carbon fiber ones, use the Touratech plastic junk as your mold and send them back......ethical, probably not, but their prices aren't really ethical either......
