it does have a factory tool kit under the right cover under the tank by the battery. There is a aux outlet by the gauge cluster. I bouhht a few more tools to carry also. ::021::

The tool kit is classic underwhelming. You'll prolly wind up hitting Sears for a more usable set of stuff. The aux outlet up front isn't rated for a lot of draw. The simplest two-fer-one deal is to go ahead and get yourself a battery tender, or Battery Tender, and use the provided pig tail to power your gear. The ultimate is to wire in an aux fuse panel with several dedicated circuits, one of which can be for your heated gear on it's own fuse.

the power outlet is only 3 amp, so can't be used for anything more than a GPS or similar. Don't try a an air compressor in there... Heated gear should be run off a direct battery connection anyway.

Yes tool kit is pretty typical - I have better so this is what I did with the space once I tossed the tool kit.

There is plenty of room under the seat for the tool kit. The spot under the right cover sucks. Use it for something else. You'll definitely want to add to the kit though.

Thanks Trevor, I gave up on the Steble air horn, now I will do what you did. Can I run this of my auxiliary fuse block or does it have to be wired directly to the battery?
Thanks Paul.

Thanks Paul.

I used the Eastern Beaver Stebel relay, which is wired direct to the battery. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong... but I don't think there's any reason you can't wire to aux power, which will have it's own relay.
