I like symmetry.

From what I understand the GIVI and Hepco-Becker side racks are symmetrical. Will Micatech bags (2 at 8") mount on either of these racks? If not I think I will go with the Jesse bags.

Are any of the front crash bars symmetrical? I like the altrider stainless steel but would prefer symmetrical crash bars that still allow removal of the fuse panel.

Can't help you on the racks (I use SW-Motech which are NOT symmetrical), but for crash bars, I suggest you consider the Givi offering. They are about as symmetrical as I have seen and offer access to both sides.

If you don't mind Yamaha and a smaller sidecase then OEM is the most symmetrical sidecases available. The cases are L and R but are the same width from the frame and less than 35" wide.

I am with Rod on the protection bars. The Givi's are good looking, look strong, and only $160, though they are currently out of stock.

H&B crash bars are symmetrical, and allow easy removal of covers. I don't have a good front-on shot, but they are the same height vertically and width out from covers is near enough the same both sides.

Looks good. Like the Yamaha 'Film' brace included.
