Stock Seat won't lock into latch/ Hows your custom seats soon to be oil thread!

Howdy,
The last time I had the problem of getting the seat to latch I discovered that the little tongue on the seat that slides into it's notch on the frame was getting tangled up with the seat height "spacer". It would slide over the spacer instead of under raising the height on the front of the seat enough to make getting the latch to snap a bear.

I ran into this adjusting mine to the up position. There are two slots, high and low in the back. If you angle the seat down and back too much, it goes in the lower slot and won't latch.

If your using Amsoil you will not need any Kerosene. Just a little Amsoil fixes anything.

Thanks for the tip but Amsoil is not available in Éire. Can any other product be used as a substitute that will not harm my wiring harness. ::015::

Dallara pretty much nailed it on the seat latching issues. (no comment on the kerosene)

One trick I use if the seat doesn't want to latch is to first double check that the tongue at the back is in the right spot, then just use the key to move the latch to the unlock position as I press the seat front down and it usually drops right in and latches as I release the key to it's neutral position.
