On a few occasions now I have experienced stalling at certain times when declutching to a stop, or a small miss (valves?) when cracking the throttle suddenly, I have a "California" model and was wondering if there might be a relation with the stalls or miss because of Ca. epa stuff. Anyone have this happening? Is there a canisterectomy procedure for the Tenere?

There is a thread here somewhere on the subject. Last I heard some dealerships are in-the-know from Yamaha on the fix that many here have done on their own. Some throttle body adjustment, and maybe a small tweak to the air-fuel ratio. My Cali bike doesn't do it. It's not related to the emissions canister. Contact your dealership. Stalling is not a safe thing, they'll fix it.

Well look at that. The two threads are sticky posted to the top of the Tech Discussion folder.

Off idle stumble. I actually floated through the section looking for the subject of stalling. Off idle stumble will work though as that thread is exactly what I was after. Kind of like tires or tyres. Skid plate or "bash plate".at any rate no need to further the thread I started. Will refer to the pinned thread.

For what it's worth Houndman mine does the same thing - or used to - it hasn't fully stalled, just a cough once a month, since the break in period was over but is always still on my mind as it was not a safe obviously.
Now back to the stickies ...
