Hi! In few days I will get a ST. I've seen that in the dashboard is present an auxiliary DC jack, useful, for example, for a GPS navigator. On my Aprilia Caponord Tom Tom Rider 1 was installed with the Touratech support on a crossbar (also Touratech). Do you think it is possible mount the crossbar on ST, too? Touratech, for ST, has created a specific GPS handlebar bracket (http://www.touratech.com/shops/008/popup_image.php?pID=10992&osCsid=fb95b93f5e475b1042b90baab25e3103): if crossbar can't be mounted I think I'll buy this.
Thanx for attention

If you only need to mount a GPS the other option is to get a RAM mount ball that replaces one of the screws in the handlebar risers. That's what I use and it works great.

There is a handlebar brace designed specifically for the fat bars.

Not the SW-Motech "NonShock" GPS disaster. Keep it as far away from your bike as you can, you can take my word for it.

Really?? Are you referring to this particular model or the whole line from SW Motech?
I had one of these "nonshock" mounts on my BMW and it was flawless.

Hi Guys!

Got new ST (First Edition Silver) last Tuesday! What a great bike!

"Resolved" GPS mount!

I've used my "old" Cross-Bar http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/746/PN-040-0604/Cross-Bar-250mm-short-07-R1200GS-Adv-Tiger-DL1000-Caponord,
with the "old" Touratech Mount for Tom Tom Rider I http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/1745/PN-065-0133/Touratech-Locking-Mount-for-TomTom-Rider, both previously used on my Aprilia Caponord.

ASAP I'll pst some pics!

Safe ride!
SilverThunder,

We are all jealous over here in the US! ;) Congrats on the new bike.......we're looking forward to the pics!

Yes the US Yamaha dealers are doing pre-orders only for the ST. You have to order between Sept 2010 and March 2011, with deliveries beginning in May 2011. Waiting is hard, but once it arrives it will be a beautiful thing! :)

Is that sorta the same as waiting for a fine wine to age? Hmm, i can see the comparison. Waiting for perfection.

that does look like a good mount for the 60csx. Now if i could only figure out how to make a route for it and upload it to the unit i would be alright.

What were your problemsexperiences with this set up? I really like the idea of having the GPS behind the windshield, rather than on the bars, etc.

Thanks,

Chris
