Spring rates

Hi All, I was wondering if anybody knows the formula to calculating spring rates, for example, if I have a 900 pound spring on a shock, how do I match the correct springs for the forks? Thanks for any input.

Not sure there is such a formula. You need to hit the correct sag numbers individually for the front and rear springs.
