Just curious why you would get rid of both?

I purchased a Tall Touring (24 inches I think) VStream shield that has just completely changed the riding experience for me ::008::, its an excellent shield. So I really don't have need for both shields and if I ever decided to sell the ST the lucky buyer will get the VStream with it.

Thanks

LJM it's this one. http://www.nationalcycle.com/vehicles/motorcycle/yamaha/yamahaxt1200supertnr/2012yamahaxt1200supertnr/n20306.html

I'm in the need of a taller screen. I have winglets and a Mad Stad bracket. Still a little noisy. How tall is the tall you have for sale and how tall are you? I'm 6'2" and would like to settle the wind noise down.

*edit* just measured mine and I guess Dad put the tall shield on it. 20". I suppose the extra 4" make that big of a difference, huh ATLDB?

I am 6.1 32 inch inseam, wide shoulders. My brother is build the same way, we even weight about the same.

With said let me give you a little history, my brother bought a 13 ST, kept the factory shield and installed a MadStad bracket. He is a bit more old school and likes the "wind on his face" kind of riding style. I am a long distance BMW touring guy (my other bike is a K1600GT with a 24 inch VStream) I like "Quiet". So when I bought a 13 ST, I tried the MadStad with factory and could not find a sweet spot, tried the MadStad with the Yamaha Tall Shield, found the spot but had to raise the MadStad so high that now wind rushes underneath the shield and up my helmet create a sort of "downside pressure". Hated it. Because my Vstream shield on my K1600Gt is so awesome I decided to sell the MadStad, get the VStream 24 inch for the ST and put it on there and now, no more downside down pressure, quiet all around (I mounted it on the low position so I don't have to look through it) and ITS GREAT!! ::012:: Even the wind I was getting on my elbows is GONE!!! ::025:: Worth every penny. So now I have a Yamaha Tall Shield for sale, and the original too in case someone wants it cheap. otherwise it will just sit in the garage and bother me.

Hope this helps

Re: Yamaha Tall Shield

Okay, thank you so much for that info. Today I finally found the sweet spot with my tall shield on a madstad bracket. But it did what you said.

-"tried the MadStad with the Yamaha Tall Shield, found the spot but had to raise the MadStad so high that now wind rushes underneath the shield and up my helmet create a sort of "downside pressure"-

AND if I can make my wife more comfortable she might not frown on the amount of deliveries I've been receiving...
