Sigh.... The quest for the "perfect for me" shield goes on as cooler weather draws nearer...

This is a "Tour" model, as new (12 miles on it, rode from shop to home and back). They are $180 new, this one is yours for only $125 shipped in the lower 48. Paypal is good...

Previously, I bought their Sport (which is only available tinted), and realized I need/want a clear shield. Sold it and just got this "Tour" in yesterday. I really like the "Vstream" screen, and the "Tour" is a HUGE improvement over stock (lot less less noise, very clean cabin air). Problem is, for my 5'10", 210#, husky-built, slouching self it's too tall. I look through it and the "clean air" bubble extends a good 4" above my helmet (if you're 6'+ I'd bet this is a great fit). Alas, I need their medium, but they don't make it in clear so the search continues...

Per National Cycle:

Height: 24.25 in. (61.5cm)
Width: 17.00 in. (43.2cm)
VStream Windscreens are measured vertically from the bottom center edge to the top of the screen, and horizontally across the back at the widest point.

I had the medium windshield (sport/tour ??) on my now kaput Tenere and it was perfect. The "tint" was so slight that I don't even remember noticing it. And I rarely had to look through it anyway. I will get another one, as it was scuffed very badly in the accident. R ::008::

Yep, the Vstream is a great shield. I now know I like clear and National Cycle discriminates against the untall... :D

A little masking tape and a jig saw will make that one perfect for you.

You don't have to draw to be able to cut a shield down.
Use a piece of cardboard or template material and make a tracing of the top of your shield. Cover your shield with blue masking tape and transfer the template to the tape.
Now make sure everything is the way you want it and use the correct jig saw blade and carefully make the cut. Now clean up the edges and you are done.. Easy to do, if you take your time.

Any plastic shop could cut it and give you a nice looking edge for a lot less than buying a new one. Sign shops probably could too.

I too one to an auto glass shop and they cut it down with a vertical belt sander. Ended up with a very nice finished edge and they charged me $10.

Motoadv et al:
I use the mid-size V-Stream. The tint shade is so light that it's almost unnoticeable. I do a lot of night driving too. V-Stream is a fantastic design, twin vortexes and all.

SOLD!

And thanks to all for the suggestions. I'm thinking a Calsi is my next one to test. If I do't like it, you'll see it here soon enough...

I've got a medium Calsci that didn't work for me that I'd like sell. It was Ironically replaced by the screen you just sold!

I sent you a PM if you are interested.
