It's a new year? Did I miss something? It's Sunday, isn't it? I'm always the last to know.

OK, I'll take your word. Ho ho ho Merry New Year. R ::008::

I did it out of habit. It's kinda cool if you you're in an area with a lot of buddist temples because they ring the big bells, which use a log suspended by ropes as a clapper. You can wait in line to get your swing at the bell. In warmer areas, there are also many food stands around the shrines with beer, sake and decent food. We don't have any temples near us so it was pretty much just exchanging happy new year with the family. Consumed one lemon chu hi...(12oz, 8% by volume), which was enough for me, since I don't drink much alc. anymore. Oh yeah, and we ate, ate, and ate until stuffed...another Japanese tradition. I won't even mention the 'welcome the new year' and 'forget about the old year' drunkex parties, which I try to stay away from nowadays 8)

Lol! :D

I did stay up to welcome the new year in, however I did call my older brother and sister at 7:30 pm just in case they were planning an early night.

We were over an hour from home at a family get-together that broke up around 8:30. I got to drink some tasty LaBatt's brews that I've never had, who knew they made more than just "Blue"?

By the time we got home it was 10:00 and both kids were passed out. The wife and I sat on the couch and watched the ball drop, then she turned in and I watched crappy musical acts until 1:00 when I called it quits. Pretty boring overall but at least I feel fine today. ::008::

That sounds llike my night. Not sure I like having New Years Eve on a Saturday night when I have to get up for church Sunday morning. ;)
