I keep wondering if there is time to do the Hwy 99 loop through Lillooet before the snow starts falling up there. I've had snow fall on me around Halloween.

Today I was plotting routes for the local passes. We should have snow to 7,000 feet soon and I don't want to miss the colorful fall rides.

My mother-in-law just gave me an icy stare here at 200ft. I think she maintains a separate climate entirely.

Well said. Relations can sometimes define entire new categories and corrupt eternal truisms. My wife, for example, can sometimes defy the law of gravity. Her biscuits are as heavy as lead ...... but they just won't go down. R

I would definitely get more than an an icey stare if I mentioned my "wife's biscuits" as heavy as lead!! I mean, they used to be soft, flaky and well-risen, but then......

'nuff said. Off for another ride today in Calgary. Looks like good weather for the next week or so.

Cheers Guys,

Camshaft aka CammyB'hammy

I 've been racing the weather since last Monday!! Left Whitehorse in the early AM and apparently it snowed in the evening!!
Been thru Edmonton , Saskatoon, Prince Albert, MooseJaw, Swift Current, Medicine Hat, Pincher Creek, Crowsnest and now am resting in Cranbrook. NO SNOW YET!!!. Need it to keep clear of me for anothr 2 days so I can get to Kelowna & Vernon, then turning directly south and heading for Baja. I hear there's no snow there. I definatly am (riding) ::021::
Haven't been taking any many pictures yet (flat prairies ) but they will come as will the snow
See you in 12 weeks or so ::015::

Holy moly, Dude. You just made it. Yeah, it started snowing about 3 hours ago. You got out just in time.

12 weeks? You rotten beggar, you. Well, I hope a coyote pees on your tire. Have fun my man. I guess you're planning on leaving the bike down there somewhere ???? Let's be careful. R

Yes my baby will overwinter somewhere warm while I come back to a snowy Whitehorse. Though I am hoping that my wife or shop employees will get pissed at me during the coldest part of Feb and tell me to leave town ::012:: I'll start posting videos & pic's next week, when I am in warmer climes and can start slowing down. So far it's been days of 600-900km!

Getter done, son. I wish I was with you. All I have to show for it is a hernia scar and no bike. Jeeze. I'll be picking mine up in Radium about April-ish. Maybe we can ren-dez-voos at some point. I'll come by and bug you in February. Have a safe trip, bud. Seriously. R

Looking at Pat's Spot I'd be surpried if he gets south without getting snowed on. Ride safe and have fun Pat.

Had snow on the road shoulders through the Kootenays and ice in the centre. That's why they call it adventure touring right?
Weather has been great so far considering the calender. Wind has been bad!! 100kph thru souther Sask & Alberta. Tiring to ride at an angle all day. In the USA now heading south on us395. Hitting Vegas for the Sema show then on to Baja
