Side stand bypass

I searched and didnt find anything. Anyone know how to bypass the side stand switch? If it breaks while out on the road?

I am also considering the altrider guard for it over the touratech. Thoughts?

during my deer get off the tang that holds the spring is what broke so the sidestand was free to drag. of course then the damn idiot swtch kept tryng to cutout the engine so i had to ride home holding up the switch with my foot. no big deal since the footpeg was gone. on my FJRs i always twisted the wires together at both the clutch and side stand since rain/grime would always foul them at some point. will do he same on the s10 when i get it back. as well as figure some thing to hold up thr sidestand if the tang breaks again....bungy or better.

some things are going to have to change as a result of seeing its fall damage to avoid being stranded.
