Scala G4 with a Samsung phone

I know a few of you have this combination from searching the forum, but here's a simple question... I'm about to change to a Samsung Galaxy (maybe SIII, maybe Ace) from my HTC phone. How does the voice dialling work on the Samsung? The guy in the phone shop said it needed a screen tap to instigate, does the scala "mobile" button override this?
