::013:: Yes, they look huge in the pictures. it crossed my mind before I bought them. They are however still hanging pretty high off the ground and profile is pretty narrow. boots on the foot pegs are positioned lower then the bottom of the case. so if the bike is being leaned, consciously or unconsciously, so much on cornering that those are rubbing against the floor, that would be the least of your problems and would clearly indicate that the fecal matter has clearly made contact with a rotary oscillator and it's time to pull on that EJECT cord.
By the way these cases come with a quick removal option with knobs from the inside or more permanent with bolts from the inside if knobs are a bother. Either option screws right into the rack itself on the upper and nice fat aluminum pucks that lock into the lower part of the SU rack.
