Alright guys, I got stuck in mud today, and had to work the clutch for a while back and forth to get the bike out and moving again. For about 8 - 10 minutes this battle, and I got out eventually.

I noticed afterwards however, I had to pull up really hard to get it into second gear. Had lunch let the engine cool down, and after lunch still had the same problem. 1 - 2 is really hard, 2 - 3 harder than normal, and 3 and up is ok. Finding neutral was also difficult relative to before.

Any ideas what I might have messed up? I cleaned up the bike and everything seems fine. Based on some feedback in teh forum, i took out and cleaned the pivot screw (which was greased btw), put it back in its place. I hope it was just the adrenaline of getting stuck by myself in the middle of nowhere, and hopefully it rides better tomorrow.

Are these easily accessible?
Yes, the shift shift is the pivot joint for the foot lever and the linkage is the rod that connects the foot lever to the bell crank.

Remove the bolt on the foot lever, clean it out, grease it, reassemble....BUTTAH!!!!

Great, thanks. I will test ride tomorrow to see if it worked.
