I am off on a couple month trip next spring and want a redverz tent. I have a great backpacker tent but after several days it gets a bit old in the low cramped quarters. Anyway, anyone know of deals, I am a cheap fella and in no rush. If no deals by December one of these will be under my tree:)

I saw one in the flea market on ADV a couple months ago. Doubt it's still there but that's where I would look everyday. You have to be quick they sell pretty fast. I envy that tent it looks so comfortable. I have a Eureka backcountry 2 that I have to put my pants on laying down. I carry a tarp for rain and shade so weight wise it would probably be a draw. I'm old enough to want some luxury.

I sold mine on ADV a couple months ago. IMO it's too big when moving every day unless you are sharing the tent with someone that can help set it up. It was great for when I was going to be staying at the same location for 3-4 days without moving. It does flap quite a bit on windy nights and that got pretty annoying. It is completely rain proof and is nice pitching in the rain as the inner tent stays completely dry.

I almost kept it but I needed farkle money for the new S10. Also, I had about six tents and needed to make room.

I picked on up used on ADV little over a year ago. I only used it once but it is the Taj Mahal of tents...Very roomy. However it does come at price....weight and size packed. I don't find it that bad to set up by myself but I agree its a lot of work if you are setting it up every night. I also have a NEMO Morpho 1. I like this tent for the quick throw down for the night but its very small.....up side is it pakcs smaller than a football.

Here is my bike with the Redverz Tent packing in a compression bag.

So I have used the third version (Atacama) now for a couple of camping trips, the only complaint is the addition of another rain flap along the zippers. It was enough fun keeping the single flap on the version 1 and 2, but now with two flaps, you better not be in a hurry to get one open.....think bathroom break...grin. Trying to hold the two flaps while unzipping can be a challenge, and once the material gets caught, it a pain to get it loose. never had the old versions leak, but someone must had that issue for them to change it. Just FYI.

The boss (read) wife bought me for fathers day and I just tried it out at Mammouth Mountain, here in California. What a great tent, set it up in the rain, still dry inside. Cooked my dinner in my "garage" and enjoyed the thunder and lightning. I was able to change out my gear, without scaring the local chipmunks. Yes its a little large, but doesn't take that long to set up or take down. Definiently the choice for foul weather camping.

Just purchased the Redverz Atacama Expedition Tent -- Made this choice after much research for a tent that would fit my needs for such an extended trip. I'm gearing up for a 5 month trip and feel this tent will meet the needs. I will be camping for most of my trip so room and comfort is important. I've read a lot from other riders with this tent, many pro's and con's about such a large tent. Seems many have issues with setting and taking down each day. The beauty of my trip is that there is no rush. There will be the opportunity to stay in one location for short duration so time spent erecting and dismantling tent should not be a concern. at 15.8 pounds it is a little heavy however it will make a nice back rest while riding.
