Owl 360 has just released an affordable rear view camera for cyclist.

I've often wondered the effectiveness of a camera on my moto.

An email was sent to get more specifics.

Any thoughts?

After leaving a wonderful bbq in SF on Saturday, I hit the freeway at 6 pm.

Perfect timing! Such pleasant stop/go traffic - Very insane!

The fan came on 20 times as I massaged my way through the urban Bay area jungle. Cars Suck!

The Super T handled superbly. Just past Berkeley, a douche bag in an old school piece of sh#t oldsmobile cut me off.

Did he see me? Probably not. But I saw him. As he merged back over, I gave him a friendly peace sign.

It was dusk and he didn't have his lights on, while I had my mirrored helmet lense with sunglasses on, I could barely see him behind me.

Two seconds later this ass f#ck was barreling toward me.

The situation shocked me a bit, but I rapidly downshifted and accelerated away encouraging him to follow.

I vanished from sight and couldn't help but desire a video camera & screen to see behind me. Secretly I imagined a Tec9 dumping a few clips into his chest, but it's real life and not the movies. :'(

Time for an early xmas present to myself! The camera, not the Tec9.
::26::

You got me safely home Super T and I love you.

The Moral of the story? Don't give the peace sign, it might piss someone off. :-X

My vote goes for the Tec9.... Useful in so many situations. >:D

JJ, understand your pain. The last three times I have ridden I have had incidents with cars and a pickup. Pulling up on their passenger side and beating on their window does not help. Slamming their side mirror at least leaves a scar. Now about that heavy traffic, you are in California and we are the only state that allows lane splitting (sharing)(sort of).
