Well heck limey, the Tour Master gear won't work if you wear a shirt, with the Harley shield... ::025::
That's a another story. To cut it short my 04 Roadglide blew a cam tensioner in Scranton Pennsylvania. Left the bike there for a total rebuild then rented a car, followed the wife back home on her 02 softail picked up the WEE and headed back down to the Smokey Mountains.

$2700 when i was done.

I don't own anything with a Harley logo, but I do own that same rainsuit. It is terrible. The pants are lined in something that wicks the water up inside, and the jacket cuffs are too tight to get my glove gauntlets inside very easily, so getting into the jacket takes forever. I replaced it with a cheaper rainsuit that doesn't have any lining in the pants, which makes them much more effective.

I'm going to look for some of these Gore-tex suggestions. Cabelas isn't far away.

(The Klim stuff looks great, except for the big flashing sign on their site that says "No girls allowed. Amazon women keep out!")
I got my wife the Tourmaster Sentinel Jacket Pant combo. The pants leaked in their first storm. She still uses the jacket.

This is the first time I have heard so many bad reports on this rain gear. I have had mine for 6 years and no problems. I wonder if the older ones were better?
I was going to change the color of my jacket, to something more visible, but I think I'll keep what I've got.. ::025::

We rented bikes in Virginia to ride over to Maggie Valley in the fall. Had a day and a half of rain and I had a small amount of seepage in the crotch of the pants. Two years later, we rode to New Hampshire for a little get together. Coming home, we hit some torrential rain in Michigan. My riding tights were immediately soaked and I had a miserable day (although the ride itself was fun ::001::) When we got home, I tore into the pants, thinking I could fix them. The sealing tape on the crotch seams had come undone and would have been a homemaker's nightmare to try to repair. I bought a set of First Gear pants that were on clearance and survived a recent Oregon downpour with a dry crotch, but my Gore-tex boots have sprung leaks at 60,000 miles :(. The water traveled up from the boots to my lower legs, and it was chilly at 36.4 degrees as we rode over the Cascades.

I generally like the First Gear pants. They are a heavy, coated nylon with a zipper up to the knee. I think they are this one: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/41/33823/ITEM/Firstgear-Splash-Pants.aspx
