Queston Re Pannier Lock Barrels That Came With The Bike

Good afternoon,

I received my bike this week ... Yeah!!! I have only had a short ride so far but I can tell I am going to love it.


I have a question regarding the 3 lock barrels that came with the bike. Does any one know if those lock barrels will fit panniers from manufacturers other than Yamaha. I am hoping they are transferrable. Thanks.

I don't know either.
If you don't know already Yamaha's boxes and panniers have been made by SHAD Spain.
The locking system of panniers is quite special but working, a real master piece of engineer.

I'm hoping to modify the Yamaha locks to fit in my Trax luggage, but haven't spent much time at it yet. I will definitely post any progress when it happens.
