ADV Moto magazine has a great article on Nick Sanders riding his Tenere from Prudhoe Bay to Ushuaia and back. 46,800 kilometer in 46 days. What a feat. "The Super Tenere never broke down, it was a flawless performance." A good read. He really took himself to the physical edge.

on his website you should read about the tear-down yamaha did when he was done. Quite inspiring

I met Nick Sanders 3 years ago, here in Tierra del Fuego. This time riding a R1, with a passenger. When I arrived at side the R1 the first surprise was the rear tire, was the original (model) tire, and I say surprise because normally most of people who arrive at Rio Grande or Ushuaia are using trail motorcycles with trail tires or off road tires.
We talked some minutes about and tell me about his webpage http://www.nicksanders.com/ but nothing rare, was very humble, nothing about his records or similar. This night I checked his website and can understand many things. This guy can ride a R1 for places that most of people can ride in a trail or maxi trail motorcycle.
I think is a legend, he needn´t explain his records or his succesfull experience he only talk about trips but in a very humble way.
