Hi people, after riding 3 FJR1300 Yamahas and of late, less than 2 years a BMWK1300GTSE I now have a Super Tenere 1200 in my garage. No problems yet, enjoying it, different from the big 4 cylinder bikes, but in a good way. I will Farkle with the bike in due course but was wishing to get any advice from the membership re powering my Autocom and Zumo 660. Also mounting the said bits of kit, where would most off you mount the items? ::021::

I installed a PC8 from Eastern Beaver. Ordered the harness too which mates to the OEM Aux light connector. GPS bracket from Twisted throttle. I wanted something simpler than the Touratech. My comms are mounted under the seat. Heated gear plug also. Built a dash and installed waterproof Contura switches and wired everything through the PC8. All clean and secure. PC8 mounted under the top right cover. Used a dremel to remove a piece of plastic so I could mount flat. Screwed the relay onto the raised post to the right of the battery. ;D

Same thing I did. ::008:: The raised post to the right of the battery is where the OEM driving lights relay normally mounts. I'm happy with everything mounted that way, but just wish the positive (orange) wire had the fuse holder position a bit closer to the terminal -maybe about an inch- so that wire could be routed in a cleaner fashion. Other than that niggley detail, I like it. I still have to get motivated enough to build some sort of dash, as you have. 8) Looks good!

Hi FJRDen I'm an ex-FJR rider so know where your coming from re the ride.
I have gone down the Touratech route with all wiring going through a Fuzeblock http://www.fuzeblocks.com/ this is an amazing bit of kit as you can chose weatehr to have the iteams switched with ingnition or per live. I have Sat Nav per so as not to lose track when on rides.

Heated grips came with the bike, Spots I used OEM Conector and Touratech wiring. I Have the StarCom mounted under the seat and iPod in the handle bar bag.

Good luck with the farkling.
