First off, there is NO PROBLEM with a fully stock Super Tenere.

Having mounted the SW-Motech protection bars, I found that the ignition wires were pulled tight and chafing hard on the aft mount of the right bar. If you have the SW-Motech bars, I would strongly suggest inspecting where the wiring is routed from the right side cover of the engine and goes past the rear bar mount, as the wires go beneath the big right panel. In 500 miles, the sleeve on my ignition wires was already finished, fortunately the wires had not yet been damaged.

It's easy to re-clamp the wires and add your choice of wrap for protection to fix this.

Because other bars seem to all use the same mount, owners of other versions are encouraged to check theirs. I doubt the problem is limited to SW-Motech.

Checked mine (with altrider crash bars) and it seems fine. Can see how there could be contact with the bars and a potential issue. Thanks for the heads up! ;)

I just took a look at mine with the ALT bars. I can see where this might be potential problem! I'm going to pull the RH cowling and see what can be done.

Thanks for the "heads up"!!

Ahhhh Yup.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked mine (all apart for electrical farkles) and they were tight on the SW Motech Bracket. And yes, I believe it would be the same for any bracket.

I threw a tie wrap around that bundle and the large mounting boss they curve around. Pulled them right up off the bar mount and clear.

Good deal! That'll get done right away. Thanks, Bigbore4.
