Just got the "go" word from Bryan for the forum. I am up at o dark thirty because I will ride home my new '14 Super Tenere in about eight hours. Like a kid before Christmas ::016:: Stopped by one of my favourite dealers on Wednesday (Early's Yamaha), spied the blue Tenere and asked to test ride. Wow, very nimble for a "large dirt bike", and impressively stable at 1-5 mph whilst riding standing through a construction area. Forty miles of some great local roads of all types and I was back talking business. An excellent dealer, BTW, whom I've known for over 30 years.

Been getting some sound advice and thoughts from just reading this forum. Seems like a quite friendly place, and such a wealth of info. Thanks already!

Been riding only about 25 years and didn't start until age 45! Easy math. Farkling will begin soon and hope to have her all sorted out and myself bonded with her before heading out to Utah in September.

Cheers!

Many thanks to all for the warm welcomes to the Super Tenere forum. I am looking forward to participating here!

Got to Early's at 08:30 when they opened, left a little after 10 AM and, of course, took the long way home. A very fun first 'real' ride. Stopped twice to adjust shifter, windscreen, and did a couple errands. I am already loving it. Exhausted now, must get some rack time. Dreams of tuning forks.............

Cheers,

Pat
