This in the news today:

Some Japanese used car dealers are selling radioactive vehicles to unsuspecting buyers, London's Daily Telegraph reports.

The vehicles, which look perfectly fine in just about every other detail, came from motorists who lived near the
Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant, which suffered catastrophic damage and leaked radiation in the wake of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

Normally, used cars are exported from Japan to Russia and Southeast Asia. But with tests for residual radiation on the docks, sellers are finding they have no choice but to try to sell them in Japan, the Telegraph says. More than 660 cars have been refused export documents from Japan.

One minivan up for sale was found to have more than 20 times the permissible level of radiation for export."
